Acorn Jam

A short visual novel loosely inspired by classic romance games and anime, put together by a range of participants in a two week period to showcase their art and develop their skills working on projects.

The player has just moved in to their new apartment and decides they need something to brighten up the place so they head to a nearby art supply store where they meet the rest of the cast, the rest is for you to experience yourself, I hope we have made something you can enjoy, even a little.

Why we made this game?

The game is a little something cooked up by a team formed during Kimo 7, a month long annual event for developing figure drawing skills, with a few thousand people participating in the community this time.

One part of that community is the clubs that form for different interests and activities, and halfway through the 2025 event I decided I wanted to make a game, and the community delivered, we jam!

By shear coincidence that happened to coincide with NanoReno 2025, which we had just heard about, and we were all eager to submit it, so we did.

Artists, musicians and coders came together and before the script was even warmed up we were halfway to a complete game.
